Explanation of common terms of dynamic balancing machine
1 Unbalance
the magnitude of the unbalance on a plane of the rotor does not involve the angular position of the unbalance. It is equal to the product of the unbalanced mass and its center of mass to the rotor axis. The unit of unbalance is GMM or GCM, commonly known as "heavy diameter product"
2. Unbalance phase
the angle value of the unbalance mass on a plane of the rotor relative to the given polar coordinates
3. Unbalance degree
unbalance of unit mass of rotor, in gmm/kg. In case of static unbalance, it is equivalent to the mass eccentricity of the rotor, and the unit is μ m。
4. Initial unbalance
unbalance on the rotor before balancing
5. Allowable unbalance
the allowable residual unbalance of the rotor to ensure the normal operation of rotating machinery. When this index is expressed by unbalance degree, it is called allowable unbalance degree (also known as allowable unbalance rate)
6. Residual unbalance
residual unbalance on the rotor after balance correction
7. Correction radius
the distance from the centroid of the correction mass on the correction plane to the rotor axis is generally expressed in mm
8. The interference (mutual influence) of the correction plane
the change of the unbalance on one correction surface of a given rotor causes the change of the indicated value of the balancer on another correction plane (sometimes referred to as the plane separation effect)
9 Rotor balance quality
an index to measure the degree of rotor balance

where G - Balance quality of rotor, unit: mm/s. Score 11 grades from g0.4-g4000
eper - allowable unbalance rate of rotor gmm/kg or rotor mass eccentricity μ m
ω- The angular speed corresponding to the maximum working speed of the rotor = 2 π n/60 ≈ n/10, n is the working speed of the rotor r/min
10 Allowable unbalance degree (rate) per unit mass of rotor
eper = g × 1000/n/10 unit: gmm/kg or μ m
11. Minimum achievable residual unbalance (Umar)
minimum achievable residual unevenness hydraulic testing machine measurement (Umar). The unit is GMM. Its meaning refers to the minimum value of residual unbalance that the balancing function makes the rotor reach. It is the performance index to measure the highest balancing capacity of the balancing machine. When this index is expressed by unbalance degree, it is called the minimum achievable residual unbalance degree. (unit: gmm/kg)

the ratio of the unbalance reduced by a balance correction to the unbalance of the initial flame retardant of 2.0~3.0. It is a performance index to measure the efficiency of the balancing machine, expressed in percentage:
URR (%) = (u1-u2)/u1 = (1-u2/u1) × 100
where: U1 - initial unbalance
u2 - residual unbalance after one-time balance correction
13 Unbalanced couple interference ratio
performance index of single-sided balancing machine to suppress the influence of unbalanced couple
unbalance per unit mass of rotor, in gmm/kg. In case of static unbalance, it is equivalent to the mass eccentricity of the rotor, and the unit is μ m。
14. Calibration rotor
a rigid rotor designed to verify the performance of the balancer. Its quality, size and size are specified, including discrete type and horizontal type.
